At Camp Blue Bay, campers can enjoy a diverse camping experience in which they can choose between Troop House Camping and Outdoor Tent Camping. Camp programs are available for one or two week sessions. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in camp activities including swimming, boating, archery, crafts, nature, campfires and more.
Beautiful Camp Blue Bay is situated on 179 scenic acres located in East Hampton, New York. The camp site includes beach front property on Gardiner's Bay, and many hiking trails through our wooded property.

- Both Girl Scouts and Non-Girl Scouts alike can sign up as individual campers or go with a friend.
- GSNC's Camp Blue Bay Sleepaway Camp is an American Camp Association accredited camp.
- Camp Blue Bay has full time GSNC Staff who on-site. They supervise an enthusiastic staff that are carefully screened and chosen for their exceptional ability to work with children. There is a minimum of 8 campers to one adult, exceeding NY State standards.
- We have 1 and 2-week programs for campers entering grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and grades 9-11 in September of 2026. Campers entering 1-6 grades can participate in our 4 or 5 day mini sessions.

Full Sessions
Grades 3 to 5
S’More Fun: Looking to get a taste of all that Camp Blue Bay has to offer? Look no more. This session gives campers a chance to try all of our favorite camp activities: swimming, boating, cookouts, singing, games, arts and crafts, and making new friends.
S’More Water Fun: The traditional S’More Fun session with an extra boating block.
Outdoor Artists: Let nature inspire you! Explore the outdoors and use what you see and hear in nature to make different kinds of art. Brownies and Juniors will earn their Outdoor Art badge.
Adventurers: Get ready for an exciting journey as we explore the great outdoors! During this action-packed session, we will try new outdoor activities, learn important safety skills, and work together as a team. From cooking over a fire and nature exploration to fun challenges and adventure games, campers will discover the thrill of stepping outside their comfort zone. By the end of camp, you will have earned your Brownie Adventure badge/Junior Camper badge—and of course unforgettable memories!
Little Dippers: Get your swimsuit on, it's time to take a dip in the bay! Enjoy a special “floating” lunch on the creek, fishing, and building sandcastles during this water-filled week! After you dry off, get ready to enjoy all the other traditional camp activities!
Grades 6 to 8
Fun in the Sun: Thinking you would like to try everything? This session includes a selection of all your favorite camp activities: swimming, boating, cookouts, arts and crafts, sports, and games. Experience the outdoors while meeting new friends.
Showtime: Go beyond the spotlight and discover the music, choreography, and all of what it takes to star in your own production. Apply all you’ve learned when you create scenes from a musical with your fellow campers. This is a specially themed week, so not all traditional Camp Blue Bay activities will be offered.
Badge Blitz: Find a new adventure each day as you complete several Cadette badges! Work towards your Cadette Archery, Outdoor Art, and Animal Helpers badges all while enjoying the traditional camp activities. (Campers will leave with a badge card indicating which badges they completed. Hand in the cards at the GSNC Shop where badges will be available for purchase.)
Now We’re Cooking: Spend time in the kitchen and over the campfire as you make and learn about outdoor meals and snacks. Things will really start cooking when you and your friends make a special breakfast in your unit! When you’re done enjoying your treats, it’s time to hit the trail and get a taste of the other camp activities.
Under the Sea: Dive right in–explore the sea and the many creatures that live there. Spend extra time at the bay and creek, swimming, boating, and fishing! Back on land, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the traditional camp activities.
It’s Hammer Time: Wood You Like to Learn Woodworking? Join us for a fun and empowering week where you will learn real woodworking skills in a safe, supportive environment! Campers will work together to build hands-on projects using tools like hammers, saws, and drills. When you take off the tool belt there will still be time for all traditional camp activities. Girl Scout Cadettes will earn their Woodworking badge.
Jump on Board: Jump on board for a week of water adventures. Spend extra time boating at the creek, enjoy a special “floating lunch,” build your own popsicle stick boat, and more! When you put away your paddle you’ll also enjoy other traditional camp activities.
Eye on the Sky: Whether you were looking for shapes in the clouds or looking up at the stars at night, you’ve probably already spent some time looking at the sky! During this week explore all things space and sky, constellations, rockets, kites, and so much more! You will also have time to enjoy traditional camp activities.
Mariners: Join us for a nautical adventure where campers of all experience levels can develop essential boating skills, teamwork, swimming, and basic water rescue techniques. During this TWO-WEEK session, campers will participate in an array or activities in, on, and around the water. As a bonus, Girl Scouts will work towards their Girl Scout Mariners Pin. This is a specially themed session, so not all traditional Camp Blue Bay activities will be offered.
Grades 9 to 11
Forest of Fun: The possibilities are endless—swimming, boating, night hikes, sleeping late, dancing, sports, arts and crafts, or Stargazing. This session includes a selection of all your favorite camp activities: cookouts, campfires, singing, games, and all camp programs.
Night Owls: During this TWO-WEEK session, campers will be able to plan and design a special program for the group, as well as make individual choices. The possibilities are endless— swimming, sailing (dependent on swimming ability), night hikes, sleeping late, dancing, sports, arts and crafts, stargazing, and sleeping under the stars. Also don’t forget, there’s plenty of time for traditional Camp Blue Bay activities.
Operation Outdoor: Returning this summer to Camp Blue Bay! Upon arrival, campers will participate in an in-tents outdoor training school, where they will be taught fire-building, orienteering, knot-tying, and shelter-building skills. Once they have mastered their skills, campers will spend the rest of the week competing in teams for a place on the Camp Blue Bay Council. Activities include outdoor cooking, a canoe expedition, daily challenges, and more! This specially themed week will dive into outdoor skills, so not all traditional Camp Blue Bay activities will be offered.
Splashtastic: Ready to make a splash? During this TWO-WEEK session, campers will perfect sailing techniques and prepare for a Camp Blue Bay Regatta. Learn how to rig a sunfish sailboat, tie various knots, and how to safely right a capsized vessel. Plus,spend extra time on the water enjoying fishing, a cookout on the beach, a scenic canoe trip to a remote lunch spot, and a camp-wide Polar Bear swim! (Water activities are dependent on swimming ability.) Dry off and enjoy all the other traditional camp activities.
Grades 1-6
Mini Session: Perhaps a week at camp is too long, or maybe you just want to give it a try! Our Mini Session is just for you! Board the bus and enjoy four days and three nights of fun and adventure at Camp Blue Bay. Campers will stay indoors in a Troop House. Experience all we have to offer—swimming, boating, arts and crafts, games, and campfires—just a few of the many activities available.
Mini Session +plus: Want everything from the mini session plus one extra night of adventure? Our Mini Session+plus is just for you! Enjoy five days and four nights of all your traditional camp activities.

Accommodations
Tent Camping
Camp Blue Bay offers tent camping, which accommodates 4 campers with 8 camper tents to each unit. Each unit is supervised by 5 to 7 counselors in 2 tents. Each unit has modern indoor bathrooms with showers.
Troop House
Camp Blue Bay also offers indoor, dormitory-style accommodations called “Troop Houses,” available to campers in grades 1-8 This accommodation is only for specific sessions. Troop Houses accommodate 24 campers in 2 rooms with modern bathrooms and a common area, supervised by 4 to 6 counselors in 2 rooms.
Transportation
Campers are transported via deluxe motor coach that leaves from and returns to Hofstra University in Hempstead.
