GSNC’s Sweetest Event Was a Sweet Success!

Thank you for helping us make the 2026 Thin Mint Sprint one to remember!

Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently hosted its 3rd annual Thin Mint Sprint 5K and Family Fun Walk at Jones Beach State Park, bringing together more than 500 runners, walkers, families and Girl Scout supporters to celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend.

Despite the rainy weather, participants braved the rain and showed up ready to run, walk and support a great cause. The event raised funds for GSNC’s Family Partnership Giving Campaign, which provides financial assistance to families in need and helps ensure that every girl has the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts, regardless of financial circumstances.

The Thin Mint Sprint would not have been possible without the dedication of our participants, volunteers and sponsors. We want to extend a special thank you to PSEG Long Island, Spencer Davidson, Rudolf Fischer, and Solarus Technologies for their generous sponsorships of this year’s event. Their partnership helps Girl Scouts of Nassau County create meaningful opportunities for girls and make Girl Scouting accessible to more families in our community. Every participant, volunteer, and sponsor helped contribute to the success of this event and each contribution helps pave the way for young girls to grow and prosper in the Girl Scout program.

Make Every Step Count for Local Girls

When you sponsor Thin Mint Sprint, you’re doing more than supporting a community event—you’re helping local girls gain access to the leadership, confidence, and opportunities that Girl Scouting provides. Whether you are an individual supporter, small business, or corporate partner, your sponsorship directly impacts girls throughout our community while also providing valuable visibility for your organization.

Proceeds from Thin Mint Sprint will benefit GSNC’s Family Partnership Giving Campaign, which provides financial assistance to families in need. Your support helps cover membership fees, uniforms, books, badges, and program supplies, so every girl has the chance to participate, regardless of financial circumstances.
