Girl Leadership Committee
As a member of the Girl Leadership Committee (GLC), high-school-level girls are encouraged to share their voices, their creative ideas, and their passion for Girl Scouts to ensure that Girl Scout programming reflects what today’s girls want and need.
This select group works as a committee of the GSNC Board of Directors,
and partners with the CEO and staff members on projects ranging from
program development to research and marketing. Members develop new and
innovative initiatives and share their ideas with council leadership. By
facilitating youth adult partnerships, these leadership opportunities
allow girls to influence decision making processes in our council. The
input and advice that is provided to the CEO is shared with the Board of
Directors and helps to set the direction for Girl Scouting in Nassau County.
