Camping Opportunities

At Girl Scouts of Nassau County, the health and safety of our members is our number one priority. Due to the uncertainty of community transmission levels and state and local health mandates in the coming months, we are currently not offering Traditional Troop Camping and any Council Camp Programs. Be sure to check our website and/or our Camp Blue Bay Facebook for updates.
Camp is about making new friends, holding hands while skipping to
your next activity, sitting close around the campfire singing your
favorite camp songs, and getting packed into the dining hall for fun
and food. These traditions contribute to the magic of camp – which
will live on in our hearts until we can be together again!

At Camp Blue Bay, girls can enjoy a diverse camping experience in which they can choose between Troop House Camping and Outdoor Tent Camping. Camp programs are available for one or two-week sessions. Girls will have the opportunity to participate in camp activities including swimming, boating, archery, crafts, nature, campfires, and more.
This summer Camp Blue Bay is excited to offer an online program for campers to enjoy some of Camp Blue Bay’s favorite activities and traditions from the comfort of your home.
One of the experiences unique to Girl Scouting. Add the scenic beauty of Camp Blue Bay and you have the perfect setting to discover the wonders of nature. With the help of camp trained adults, girls might learn how to cook in a box oven, enjoy a nature walk, work on badges set in the great outdoors and so much more.
Offered throughout the year at Camp Blue Bay for both individual
girls and Troops. Designed to ease a girl and volunteer into the
camping experience, they are offered to a particular level of Girl
Scout based on a theme or badge, with the assistance of experienced
volunteers. Parent/Child weekends are also available at different
times during the year.
