Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies: explore the power of air as you design and test a colorful bird that takes flight in a wind tube during the museum's hands-on-aerodynamics program, Birds of a Feather. Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors: kick off the program with an empowering keynote from April Blackwell, NASA Flight Controller and HLS Integration Lead in Flight Dynamics, who champions girls in STEM and individuals with Type 1 Diabetes. Then, hear from the renowned Ninety-Nines International Organization Of Women Pilots and learn about their incredible history and mission. Afterward, take part in aviation-themed workshops that will ignite curiosity and expand your sense of what's possible in aviation.
Note: This is a drop-off event; no additional adults or tag-alongs are permitted in the Girl Scout workshops; however, while Girl Scouts are busy in their workshops families can explore some of the exhibits and experiences the museum has to offer. Please register any adults or tag-alongs with the family guest option who plan on exploring the museum while the Girl Scout participates in the workshops.
