Resource Room Hours
Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm

Thursday: 9am-8pm (excluding July, Aug.)
First Saturday of the Month: 10am-1pm (excluding Jan., July, Aug., Sept.)

The Resource Room located in our Service Center at Girl Scouts of Nassau County is filled with books, browsing files and program materials to help make your Troop meetings fun. Here is a glimpse of what the Resource Room has to offer. Follow the links below to find out about the Materials for Loan, and ideas for Ceremonies, Crafts, Games/Activities, and SWAPS. Download some of our Council Patch Programs & Earned Age-Level Awards and view a list of some books on the Resource Room Bookshelf. Share this information with your Girl Scout Troop. Be creative and flexible. The girls will have fun and you will, too!

Material to loanMaterials for Loan
The Resource Room has a wide range of materials for loan. You will find music (audiocassettes/CD's), flags, candle logs for ceremonies, an assortment of resource boxes with ready-to-use materials, flannelgraph (flannel board) activities, sports/fun equipment and more!

Ceremonies are part of our Girl Scout tradition. They recognize accomplishments and reinforce the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Ceremonies are held for Investiture, Rededication, Bridging and on special days in the Girl Scout year.

SWAPS (" Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere"or" Shared With A Pal") are small hand made tokens of friendship that Girl Scouts exchange with each other. They are fun to make and collect. Click below for more information and directions to make some with your Troop.

Tastebuds patchPatch Programs & Earned Age-Level Awards
Here is a list of Patch Programs and Earned Age-Level Awards. Most of these programs were developed through GSNC. The activities can be downloaded or requested from the Resource Room. Patches (worn on the back of the sash/vest) and Earned Age-Level Awards (worn on the front of the sash/vest) are purchased in the Girl Scout Shop, unless otherwise noted.
