Become a Volunteer
Who can become an adult volunteer? People like you who wish to share their time and talent to help girls grow strong through the Girl Scout Movement.
You can work with girls directly, or you can help with the "operations" at the Service Center, helping to make our programs exciting, timeless, and fun for girls of all ages. Apply online to become a Girl Scout of Nassau County Volunteer.
Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? Volunteering gives you the opportunity to help others and change the lives of people in your community, while also being fun and rewarding. There are many volunteer and community service opportunities both at Girl Scouts of Nassau County and in your local communities. Adult Volunteer Opportunities at GSNC
As an adult volunteer, you can:
- Work with girls weekly in a troop/group setting
- Be a short-term volunteer for a girl program (Amazing Race, Daisy Dig, etc.)
- Be an "operational" volunteer at the Service Center (support for the Shop, Reception Desk, Resource Room, data entry)
- Share your professional expertise with girls at career days
- Coach/Mentor girls on STEM program pathways
- Learn to train troop leaders
- Serve on a committee or task force
- Help with fund-raising or special events
