The series programs involve working directly with girls in grades K-6 to deliver a pre-planned program, focusing on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, healthy living initiatives, teamwork and self-esteem building activities. Each series program will be delivered once a week for 3 consecutive weeks. The sessions are typically 1 – 1.5 hours in length and will take place in a summer camp school, church or community center in Nassau County.
Adult Volunteers are adults who are either male or female and 18 or over in age. All Volunteers will be fully trained by GSNC staff and will receive mileage reimbursement for travel. All Volunteers will be accompanied by a minimum of one other staff person and the adult/child safety ratio will be maintained at all times.
