Specialty Training

CPR, First Aid and AED Training will be offered at St. Francis Hospital's DeMatteis Center in December 2009, January 2010 and February 2010. The DeMatteis Center is located at 101 Northen Blvd. Greenvale, N.Y. 11548. To register click on the links at the bottom of this page, space is limited!

Relational Aggression Training for Leaders
Required for all Leaders/Advisors/Mentors interested in using the Ophelia Project materials. Training includes a 90 minute awareness-raising presentation and instruction on how to create an emotionally safe space for girls. Participants will learn how to lead activities within the program and how to process with the girls.

Workshop Presentation Skills
Interested in becoming a trainer or speaker for our Critical Issues Initiative? This full day training is the first step for candidates wishing to become a speaker or trainer for Critical Issues. High school girls interested in assisting with workshops and presentations should also register for this training. For additional information contact Carol Aksak, 741-2550 ext. 254

Are you a new Leader who could use some help getting started with your Girl Scout Troop? Come to a 1.5 hour workshop to meet other new Leaders and get some useful information about setting up your troop bank account, trips, dues, planning your year, plus much more!
