Q: What is the Annual Giving Family Partnership?
A: A fundraising strategy that coincides with Girl
Scout registration, the Annual Giving Family Partnership asks for contributions
to Girl Scouts from the family of our girl members.
Q: Why should I participate?
A: Giving to the Annual Giving Family Partnership demonstrates
your support of your Girl Scout.
Q: How much should I give?
A: How much to donate is a personal decision. We ask
that each family gives as much as they can. For every donation of $40 or more, the troop receives a 15% rebate and every Girl Scout in the family will receive a patch. For every $25 donation
the troop receives a 10% rebate.
Q: Where does the money go?
A: 100% of all contributions go to Girl Scouts of Nassau
County and supports all Girl Scout troops/groups. 78% goes directly
to support Council program activities, leader training, recruitment,
professional services and resource development.
Q: Why does the Council need money?
A: The Council is a non-profit 501(c )(3) organization
that depends on public support. It costs the Council over $200 a year
to serve one girl. We have over 22,000 girls in our Council.
