Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. is a good steward of your financial contributions. With a strong financial track record and proven results, we have been serving girls for over 96 years.
Nearly 80 cents of every dollar raised directly supports the girls in Nassau County and 100% of the money raised in Nassau County stays in Nassau County. Only the $12 membership fee is sent to Girl Scouts of the USA (our national organization). You can be confident that your dollars are hard at work, supporting girls in our local communities.
Although the annual Cookie Sale Program continues to be an overwhelming success year after year, it only accounts for a little more than half of our operating budget. Individual and corporate contributions and grants from a wide variety of foundations are all needed to help girls grow to their full potential.

The Annual Giving Campaign is a continuous fund-raising appeal made throughout the year. It provides the Council with a steady stream of unrestricted funds that can be used for outreach, program activities, financial aid, special projects, materials, and training. Individuals who make an annual gift are invited into the “Circle of Friends.”
Members of the Circle of Friends receive special invitations and listings in our publications.
• $5,000 to start a “Girl Scouting Where You Live” troop and run it for the six months.
• $6,500 to run the Girl Scout Chorus for one year
• $10,000 to underwrite a special event or trip, making it more affordable for girls to attend.
