Send Us Your Tips for Addressing Critical Issues

Have you addressed bullying, body image, or cyber-safety in your troop? We are creating a tip-sheet for leaders that will include advice on how to deal with these issues. Let us know how you have used activities from the Journey books, other resources, or that you have developed. Contact Eliza Zipper, Advocacy and Critical Issues Coordinator, at zippere@gsnc.org or 516.741.2550 x254. The tip-sheet will be available this fall.
Any programs that feature the Healthy Living Initiatives Symbol are programs that are considered to be in line with Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Healthy Living Initiatives.
The Healthy Living Initiatives brings a unique perspective to keeping girls healthy. Girls define health in their own terms, placing as much emphasis on emotional and social well-being as physical health, nutrition and physical fitness. In addition to healthy eating and physical fitness, the Healthy Living Initiative focuses on increasing girls’ self-esteem, media image awareness and how to develop healthy relationships.
