Summer Adventures Troop Camping

This program provides an opportunity for troops to camp during the summer months and take advantage of the activities offered at summer camp; including swimming, boating, nature, arts & crafts, campfires and more. Troops need only to have one adult per each 8 girls to attend - no training required.

Limited number of participants per program, most accommodations will be in a tent unit, 4 girls to a tent, limited dormitory style indoor space available where noted on the schedule. All meals will be served in the Dining Hall. Troops responsible for their own transportation.

Setting and Reaching Financial Goals - A Real World Workshop for Today and the Future 

The Monday August 17th session @ GSNC will focus on Goal Setting for today and the near future, and what it might take, financially, to reach those goals.

The sessions at Old Navy will include a job-shadow experience that offers girls important job skills
training from store management. Skills include: how to fill out a job application, how to write a resume,
job interview skills, how to read a paystub, obtain working permits and more.
WHO:
Seniors and Ambassadors (14 years old+ by December 31, 2015)

IMPORTANT: Girls must attend the program at GSNC on 8/17 to be able to attend one of the sessions at Old Navy;

CENTRAL PARK SCRAMBLER - NEW DATE - October 24, 2015

GSNC is proud to announce that on October 24, 2015 Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts from all over Nassau County are invited to compete in the Central Park Scrambler! Immerse yourself in the Park’s beauty while participating in one or all four friendly competitions. Will your Troop be the first to Crack the Code or win the Take Action contest to be part of developing future programs? Perhaps Telling a Story is more your cup of tea…include all of the landmarks listed in your booklet and we shall see! Oh no, don’t leave your phone home! Enter the Picture it competition with ten different categories including best photo bomber! When you are ready to wind down you’ll be at Bethesda Terrace. Rent a boat, ride a bike, shop the Mall, drive a model boat or just enjoy the view…it’s up to you!

Camp Blue Bay Halloween Party

Design your costumes; bring along your swaps, grab some treats and plan to celebrate the First Annual Halloween party at Camp Blue Bay. Spend the day Saturday enjoying the great outdoors, take a hike to the beach, make a candle, create a fall decoration and play some games. After dinner it's time to party! Take part in the costume contest, enjoy some activities, show us your moves on the dance floor and share your treats.

Troops can choose to arrive Friday night or Saturday morning. No training required for adults but we do ask that you limit number of adults to allow more girls to attend. Indoor space and tents will be assigned on registration arrival and number of people in your group; troops will be expectd to share sites.

Bowling Bash Kick-Off

Everyone is invited to the September 26th Bowling Bash kick-off of the 2015 Mags&Munchies Program.  This annual bowling party gets more “Spotacular” every year.  Girls get to see all of the old friends and make new ones as they’re having a great time bowling, dancing and playing Nutty BINGO.  Plus each girl receives a patch, welcome gift and prize.  Girls must wear light soled sneakers. Food/drink will not be provided, but will be available for purchase.

Parent/Child Overnights

If you and your daughter(s) cherish quality time together, this is the perfect opportunity for you. At the Parent/Child Overnight, you may choose to take part in a variety of planned activities, enjoy a local attraction or just relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of East Hampton. Bring along your lunch for Saturday. Dinner, evening snack and Sunday breakfast will be served in the Dining Hall.

The event can accommodate up to 200 people in platform tents. Limited indoor space (dormitory style Troop Houses) available upon request.
