HELP THE GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY BRING COOKIES TO OUR SOLDIERS
Garden City, NY, January 30, 2008—Want to join in the efforts of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County in bringing a taste of home to the troops overseas? Purchase a box or case of cookies from a local Girl Scout and donate the boxes to be shipped directly to our nation’s armed services.
“We are honored to be able to bring a little “taste of home” to all the fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters serving our country,” says Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “It’s the least we can do and we certainly encourage the community to help out as well. We also want to thank DHL for their continuing support of Operation Cookie. Their donation of shipping services makes it possible for us to reach out to our soldiers.”
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County needs your help to surpass the 25,000 boxes of cookies given to our soldiers last year. So join us in our efforts by adding an extra box or two to your order, ask your friends and colleagues to become a Star Spangle Sponsor of a case of Cookies or see if your company will make Operation Cookie a workplace initiative.
