GIRL SCOUTS SPICE UP THEIR 2008 COOKIE LINE-UP!

Garden City, NY December 13, 2007—What could be better than enjoying delicious Thin Mints, Tagalongs and Samoas this New Year? How about enjoying a tasty new cookie that’s Sugar-Free!  This year, the Girls Scouts are introducing the new Sugar-Free Chocolate Chip and the Lemon Chalet Cremes as well as updating the classic All-Abouts with a new round shape and message of courage.  
 
Starting January 5th, Cookies will be available from your local Girl Scouts or at the Cookie Kick-Off this year on January 5th only at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream, The Sunrise Mall in Massapequa and the Broadway Mall in Hicksville.
 
“Once again we are gearing up for another great Girl Scout Cookie program,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.  “We are glad to be making healthful changes to our products and also introducing some new cookies!”
 
This year, there are eight Cookie varieties, all containing zero grams of trans fat with the same great taste.  They are Lemon Chalet Cremes, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Samoas, All-Abouts, Sugar-Free Chocolate Chips, Tagalongs and Thin Mints.

The Girl Scout Cookies Program is the world's largest Business and Financial literacy program. In the 82 years that the Girl Scouts Cookie Program has been in existence, it has continuously offered new ways to help girls grow strong. Girls learn important lessons about business, math, organization, sales, money management, negotiation, responsibility and most importantly, self-confidence.
