GET YOUR DAUGHTER IN ON THE ACTION
Register Her Today for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County

Garden City, NY April 3, 2008 – This Spring, discover all the new and innovative programs the Girl Scouts of Nassau County has to offer.  Girl Scouts connects girls to positive role models and gives girls the tools to become leaders – today and tomorrow!

“We are encouraging parents to enroll their daughters and give them the opportunity to take action and make the world a better place,” says Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of Girls Scouts of Nassau County.  “Girl Scouts has many new initiatives aimed at making your daughter a leader in her life today, as well as in the future.”

Girl Scouts gives girls skills to handle many of the important issues facing youth today such as bullying, peer pressure, and eating disorders. Also, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to experience nature, learn wilderness skills and sing camp songs around the campfire at camp.

There are programs to help girls learn the importance of health and fitness, as well as educational programs that highlight math and science, and artistic or cultural activities that demonstrate healthy forms of self-expression.

Girl Scouts of the Nassau County is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls with more than 22,000 girl and 7,000 adult members. Girl Scouting is the leading authority on girls' healthy development, and builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. The organization, now in its 96th year, continues to strive to serve girls throughout Nassau County with innovative programming based on the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
