GET IN ON THE ACTION
-REGISTER YOUR DAUGHTER WITH GIRL SCOUTS TODAY-

Garden City, NY August 8, 2006 - Want to help your daughter grow into a strong, confident, independent woman? Be sure to register her today with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. Help her learn valuable life lessons and develop essential skills in a fun environment with her peers!

"Girl Scouts helps girls discover and build their character and personality," says Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of Girls Scouts of Nassau County. "We understand the challenges and obstacles girls face today and want to give them an outlet where they can learn and develop in a fun, friendly and nonjudgmental atmosphere."

With a wide variety of programs to choose from, Girl Scouts have the opportunity to see the world through the STUDIO 2B "destinations" program, learn about the customs and culture of many foreign lands, while sampling their foods as part of the Tastebuds Patch Program, or discuss public policy issues such as bullying, peer pressure, self-mutilation, eating disorders, and drug and alcohol abuse. To tackle these issues that most girls face, the Girl Scouts of Nassau County formed a Critical Issues Advisory Board of passionate and concerned girls and adults that offers girls the support they need to help them through difficult times.

There are innumerable programs to help girls learn the importance of health and fitness, as well as educational programs that highlight math and science, and artistic or cultural activities that demonstrate healthy forms of self-expression. Get your daughter in on the action today!

Girl Scouts of Nassau County builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
