COMMUNITY NATIONAL BANK HELPS SEND GIRL SCOUTS TO SUMMER CAMP
Garden City, NY August 2, 2007 – Community National Bank intensified their participation in the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Campership Tent Campaign with a generous corporate donation to the program. Together with their customers' donations, 6-10 girls will experience the great outdoors and build lasting friendships at one of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Summer Fun Day Camps or sleep away at Camp Blue Bay!
“We are all so grateful for businesses like Community National Bank, that make summer camp a reality for so many girls,” says Donna Ceravola, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “We hope they know that through their partnership and wonderful donation, girls that otherwise would not be able to experience the joy of summer camp, can do so because of their generosity!”
The Girl Scouts of Nassau County and Community National Bank partnered together through the Campership Tent Campaign to help ensure that every girl who wants to attend summer camp has the opportunity to do so.
>From Monday, March 5th through Friday, April 13th, Community National Bank staff asked their customers at the local Garden City and Great Neck branches to support Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Tent Campaign by making a monetary donation. In recognition of their donation, each customer posted a die cut paper tent bearing their names and dollar amount of the contribution around the bank for others to see.
