DHL DELIVERS GIRL SCOUT COOKIES FOR WORTHY CAUSE

Garden City, June 1, 2007  - The Girl Scouts of Nassau County and DHL, the world's leading global express delivery and logistics company, will give a "taste of home" to the U.S. Military as a small token of appreciation for their dedicated service. DHL will pick up more than 25,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies and deliver them to the U.S. Military.

DHL will make the scheduled Cookie pick up at the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Headquarters on Tuesday, June 5th at 10:30 a.m., located at 110 Ring Road West , Garden City , New York . Girl Scouts of all ages will help package the cookie cases for delivery. The Nassau County Police Department, Garden City Police Department, Rockville Center Police Department and Port Authority Police Department will be providing an escort back to DHL JFK International Airport for the cookies.

"Because DHL has been so gracious in donating their services, we are able to give our loyal and dedicated service men and woman a small taste of home and remind them of all that awaits their safe return."

This cookie donation is made possible due to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Gift of Caring program, a featured component of the Cookie Program, that offers customers the opportunity to help lift the spirits of service men and women by purchasing extra boxes or cases of cookies to donate to the U.S. Military. More than 25,000 boxes or almost one million cookies will make their way to recipients within the U.S. as well as internationally.

DHL will deliver cookies to servicemen and women in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force in Iraq , Afghanistan and U.S. Military hospitals.
