FREEPORT RESIDENT ELECTED TO GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY BOARD
Garden City, NY June 11, 2008 – All Vilma Osborne’s hard work and dedication to the community has paid off! Ms. Osborne, a resident of Freeport, was elected to serve her second term as Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. The election took place during the 43rd Annual Meeting held at Hofstra University Student Center Theatre on May 7th. Ms. Osborne joins other Board Members in their mission to provide leadership and fresh and creative direction to the Council.
“We are so pleased that Vilma will be serving on our Board,” said Sandra Echols Williams, President of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors.“ Vilma will surely bring many positive attributes to our Board.”
Ms. Osborne enjoys being a part of the Girl Scout team and welcomes the opportunity to work with others in assisting future generations of women to become leaders with strong values and a commitment to family, nation and community. She is a member of the Delegate Communications Committee and has enjoyed a long career in the field of heath care administration. She is currently the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator at Oak Hollow Nursing Care Center in Middle Island, New York.
