WEST HEMPSTEAD RESIDENT ELECTED TO GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY BOARD
Garden City, NY June 11, 2008 – All Allison Kasson’s hard work and dedication to the community has paid off! Ms. Kasson, a resident of West Hempstead, was elected to serve a second term as Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. The election took place during the 43rd Annual Meeting held at Hofstra University Student Center Theatre on May 7th. Ms. Kasson joins other Board Members in their mission to provide leadership and fresh and creative direction to the Council.
“We are so pleased that Allison will be serving on our Board,” said Sandra Echols Williams, President of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Board of Directors.“ Allison will surely bring many positive attributes to our Board.”
Ms. Kasson has been an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County for the past several years. As a member of the Annual Luncheon Committee and the Fund Development Committee, she has helped run successful events such as, “A Night on Broadway” in March 2006. Ms. Kasson has a strong commitment to community service and looks forward to channeling some of her energy towards furthering the Girl Scout mission. She is currently a Senior Manager with KPMG, LLP. She resides in West Hempstead with her husband Joe and their four children
