MORE THAN 60 VOLUNTEERS RECOGNIZED BY GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY
Garden City, NY April 5, 2007 - More than 60 Girl Scout volunteers were honored and recognized at the 15th annual Adult Recognitions Dinner on Wednesday, March 14th at the Jericho Terrace in Mineola .
"Our volunteers are part of our organization's foundation," said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. "We are very proud of these women that devote so much of their time, talent and energy to Girl Scouts and this Dinner and these awards are our special way of showing them our deepest gratitude."

At the Adult Recognitions Dinner, the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Board of Directors recognized its volunteers with several national awards, including the Girl Scouts of the USA Appreciation Pin, Honor Pin and Thanks Badge. The Appreciation Pin is given to adult members for outstanding service to at least one community that serves Girl Scouts. The Honor Pin is given to volunteers who have shown outstanding service to two or more communities that serve Girl Scouts. The Thanks Badge is given to adults who have provided outstanding service that benefits the entire Council or the broader Girl Scout Movement.
Girl Scouts of Nassau County builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
