Conference, which will be held July 14-17 at Long Island Marriott Hotel
Conference Center in Uniondale. Information can be found on the Girl
Scouts of Nassau County's website at www.gsnc.org.
To register for the Latina Conference, visit the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's website and click on the Latina Conference link, found under "What's New?" Registration forms are available in both English and Spanish. The webpage also provides details about the conference, including a full itinerary of each days activities, transportation resources, and workshop choices for girls and adults. "With the addition of the Latina Conference links to our website, people will have more access to information about the event," said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director, Girl Scouts of Nassau County. "Visitors to the site have the opportunity to see what activities will take place and become aware of registration options and payment methods." For those with questions about the conference, an email address and telephone number are also provided on the site. This International "girls" conference will focus on challenges affecting girls, ages 11 to 17, including personal safety, education, literacy, college opportunities and self-esteem. Participants will have a chance to explore the Hispanic heritage, discover personal potential, prepare for the future and meet new friends. The Conference is open to all girls. Everyone who attends the Conference will have an opportunity to learn more about the Latina culture. Girl Scouts is a contemporary movement that helps girls discover fun, friendship and the power of girls together.
