GIRLS GO “INSIDE THE PAGES”
OF A POPULAR TEEN MAGAZINE

Instead of flipping through the pages of popular teen magazines, girls 11-13 can go "Inside the Pages" at an upcoming event sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, April 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Nassau Community College, College Center Building, will by styled after teen magazines. Girls will have the opportunity to sample sections that can be found in the Table of Content including Fitness, Fashion & Beauty, Music, Nutrition, Advice, and more.

They can also participate in workshops on yoga, cheerleading, dance, and healthy habits. There will be more than a dozen interactive workstations for girls including making your own lip-gloss; getting glamorous; interactive teen quizzes; accessorizing your room and more.

Girl Scouts is a contemporary movement that helps girls discover fun, friendship and the power of girls together. With more than 22,000 girls growing strong, Girl Scouts of Nassau County is big and keeps growing every day. The organization seeks to give all girls in Nassau County the opportunity to realize their full potential. We change lives.

The event is open to Girl Scouts and Non-Girl Scouts. There is a $15 event fee per girl. (Non- Girl Scouts will charged an additional $10 fee to activate their Girl Scout membership.
