NASSAU COUNTY SUPREME COURT TAKES A COOKIE BREAK

Garden City, March 7, 2005

Watch 400 jurors summoned to the Nassau County Supreme Court take a cookie break as Girl Scouts of Nassau County present each of the jurors with boxes of their delicious Girl Scouts Cookies.

As part of Girl Scout Week, Girl Scouts of Nassau County will visit the Nassau County Supreme Court in Mineola on March 11th at 9:00 a.m. to show their appreciation for  members of the public called to jury duty. Girl Scouts Week is a way for girls to celebrate the 93 years of Girl Scouting and what better way to do so then by commemorating those who share the same commitment to civic responsibility and community service.

Acting Supreme Court Justice Angela Iannacci will share remarks of her experiences as a Girl Scout and how they contributed to her personal and professional successes.

Girl Scouts Week is a way for Girl Scouts to commemorate the beginnings of Girls Scouts, 93 years ago .  Nassau County girls will show their appreciation to the public who serve on juries by presenting them with a box of cookies.  The Girl Scouts Promise asks girls to serve their
county and help others.
