SAVE THE DATE FOR THE GIRL SCOUTS 21ST ANNUAL “GO FOR THE GREEN” GOLF OUTING

Garden City, NY March 29, 2005

This year marks the 21st anniversary of the annual Girl Scouts of Nassau County “Go for the Green” Golf Classic. This year the event promises to be even more exciting than in years past. The event, slated for Monday, August 8 at the Mill River Club, Inc. in Upper Brookville, will include 18 holes of golf and a cart, brunch, an on-course lunch, Surf & Turf dinner, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and hole-in-one prizes.

Girl Scouts of Nassau County is actively seeking event sponsors. "The Go for the Green Golf Classic is an important fund raiser for our organization,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director, Girl Scouts of Nassau County. "Proceeds from this event helps girls grow strong by giving them activities and opportunities they might not otherwise get to experience."

For those who want to support Girl Scouts, but cannot devote the entire day, there are two options. The first is a golf clinic, which is a perfect option for beginners or anyone who wants to sharpen their skills. The second option is the Dinner, which is also open to golfers and non-golfers.

”The success of this event is due to the enthusiasm of the Golf Committee,” said Geri A. Gregor, CFO, DOAR Communications, member, Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Nassau County, and Chair of the 2005 Go for the Green. “I have a great group of people with eagerness, skill and great connections to support me,” said Gregor. David Goldenberg, CEO of ACE Communications, is Honorary Chair.
The event Golf Committee includes: David Goldenberg, ACE Communications; Les Cuneo, Smith Barney; Karren Palermo, Citibank, NA; Anthony Martollotti, Amerisc Corp.; Kristie Koppe, HJMT Communications, LLC; Jeff Cebula, Sutton & Edwards; Ann Torcivia, Friends Travel; Lisa McDermott, Pall Corporation; Matt O'Reilly, TriTech Communications; Tom Attivissimo, Greiner-Maltz; Joan Kaplan, volunteer.
