The wait is over. Girl Scout cookies are back by popular demand. From now until March 13, cookie lovers can enjoy the delicious tastes of Samoas with their creamy caramel and coconut, Thin Mints with its rich chocolate and mint combo, Double Dutch and All Abouts with their added punch of chocolate, Do-Si-Do¹s and Tagalongs with their peanut butter centers, the sweetness of Trefoils, and tarty Lemon Coolers.

To rev up the cookie season, Girl Scouts of Nassau County showcased their famous cookies at Roosevelt Field Mall on Saturday, January 8. Hosted by Kim Berk of KJOY, the cookie rally was a delight to shoppers, who were more than happy to buy a box or two from the Girl Scouts. Along with other cookie personalities, the Samoa cookie character made a special guest appearance in honor of its thirtieth anniversary. People of all ages enjoyed the tastes of cookies, sounds of Girl Scout Chorus, and sights of smiling Girl Scouts at the fun filled cookie rally.

In the 80 years that the Girl Scouts Cookie Program has been in existence, it has continuously offered new ways to help girls grow strong. The Cookie Program allows girls to develop a sense of responsibility and an understanding of business techniques and processes. Girls learn to manage their money and accounts when ordering and delivering cookies for their clients. The Cookie Program also teaches girls to appreciate and take pride in the work that they've accomplished for themselves and for Girl Scouts.
