INTRODUCING THE NEW CRAZE IN COOKIES...LITTLE BROWNIE!

Garden City, NY December 12, 2006 -- They're back and this year there's even more of a reason to cheer for the start of Girl Scout Cookie season.  The Girls Scouts are introducing a new sugar-free cookie called the Little Brownie .  As part of the 2007 theme, "Step it Up," the focus of this season's Cookie Program will be on active, healthy living.

"This is my favorite time of year and we're especially excited for the new healthy face of the Girl Scout Cookie Program," said Donna Ceravalo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.  "We're encouraging all of our girls to sell their cookies by walking around their neighborhoods to combine sales with exercise."

In keeping with the new healthy face of Girl Scout Cookies, this year, all of the nine cookie varieties, Thin Mints, Tagalongs, Samoas, Double Dutches, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, Lemon Coolers , the updated fun-sized shaped All-Abouts and the newest addition the Little Brownie will contain zero grams trans fat per serving.  Food scientists at Little Brownie Bakers have worked together to ensure that the cookies keep their same great taste!
