HELP A GIRL TODAY EXPERIENCE THE JOYS OF GIRL SCOUTING
Garden City, NY October 23, 2008 – Are you a past Girl Scout who has fond memories of sitting around a campfire, making new friends, and eating S’mores all while singing Girl Scout songs? Or maybe you’re an adult who always wanted to be a Girl Scout, but never had the opportunity to do so? Now’s your chance to help other girls in your community experience the fun of Girl Scouting by donating to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County today!
“The cost to serve just one girl a year is $207,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director, Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “We count on community support to be able to help as many girls as possible in Nassau County join our organization to make memories, form friendships and learn skills that will certainly last a lifetime.”
Although Girl Scouting has changed over the years, many traditions and core values remain constant such as honesty, community service and confidence building. The Girl Scouts of Nassau County provide girls with a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow together to make the world a better place. Help continue the legacy and make it possible for girls in Nassau County to have the opportunity to experience all that Girl Scouting has to offer.
“Everyday we strive to give girls a safe environment to be themselves, learn and develop new skills,” says Ms. Ceravolo. “The generosity of our supporters help us to accomplish this and we thank everyone for their continued dedication to the young women of our community.”
