LAST CHANCE TO HELP THE GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY SEND COOKIES TO OUR TROOPS

Garden City, NY May 2, 2008—Help the Girl Scouts of Nassau County bring the familiar taste of thin mints, tagalongs and other Girl Scout favorites to the men and women of our armed forces.

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County have been collecting donations for their Operation Cookie project to ship Girl Scout cookies to our troops overseas.  DHL will be donating all the shipping services. The deadline to make a donation is May 19th and they need your help to reach their goal! The shipment leaves from the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Service Center on Tuesday, May 20, 2008.

“We have already surpassed last year’s 25,000 boxes and are close to hitting our goal amount,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.  “We are asking the community to help us exceed our expectations by donating another box or two.”

For more information on making a donation to the men and women of our armed forces please visit our website, www.gsnc.org or call 516-741-2550.
