GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY CALLS FOR U.S. OPEN VOLUNTEERS
Garden City, NY February 18, 2009 –Want the chance to see Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia and all your favorite golf pros up close and personal? If so, volunteer on behalf of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County at the U.S. Open this June!
“We are very grateful for this opportunity to participate and volunteer in the U.S. Open,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “ Volunteers will have a once in a lifetime chance to see some of the greatest golfers of today all while giving back to our organization that arms girls with the tools and life skills necessary to go out into the world with confidence, courage and strong character.”
Girl Scouts of Nassau County is seeking motivated, energetic volunteers to work at a food and beverage concession stand at the nationally recognized U.S. Open from June 15th through the 21st at Bethpage State Park Black Course in Farmingdale, NY. This is a special opportunity for volunteers to help the Girl Scouts of Nassau County raise funds, a minimum of $10,000 for the week, to be used towards providing innovative and educational programs for Girl Scouts throughout Nassau County. Volunteers that choose to work a full shift will also receive a guest pass to watch the tournament and meal and parking vouchers at no cost.
