“This time of year is especially exciting for us as everyone in the community eagerly anticipates the start of Girl Scout Cookie® season!” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County.  “The Girl Scouts of Nassau County are thrilled to start selling Cookies and to introduce the newest addition to the 2009 cookie line-up, Dulce de Leche!”

This year, Girl Scout Daisies can even participate in selling during the Cookie season. This year’s cookie kickoff at surrounding area malls will also feature the famous Girl Scouts of Nassau County Chorus! The Chorus will treat those patrons buying Cookies to a repertoire of patriotic, American standards and traditional Girl Scout songs.

In addition to individual Girl Scouts selling Cookies, Booth Sales throughout the county will begin in February. It’s easier to find your Girl Scout Cookies® with our Cookie Booth Locator tool on our website, www.gsnc.org. On Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th be sure to keep an eye out for your local Girl Scout as she walks through her neighborhood along with her fellow Girl Scouts throughout Nassau County during the Girl Scout Cookie® Walk About Weekend. Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th marks the Military Weekend where Cookies sold go to our military troops overseas through the Girl Scouts of Nassau County program, Operation Cookie.
