GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY INVITE ALUMNAE TO AFTERNOON DESSERT
Garden City, NY March 4, 2010 – In support of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Operation Cookie program, which brings a taste of home via boxes of famous Girl Scout Cookies to our military troops overseas, Girl Scouts of Nassau County invites Girl Scouts from the past and present to a “Sunday Afternoon of Delightful Desserts.” On Sunday, March 14th, at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Garden City from 2pm to 5pm, come sample an array of desserts featuring Girl Scout Cookies created by local restaurateurs.
BANK OF AMERICA SUPPORTS GIRL SCOUT LEGOS ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Garden City, NY February 23, 2010 – Bank of America recently awarded the Girl Scouts of Nassau County $10,000 to support and expand the LEGO Robotics Project, which allows Girl Scout teams to participate in the First LEGO League (FLL) Competition.

Garden City, NY February 22, 2010 – Mark your calendars for the Inaugural “Girls Go The Distance,” Girl Scouts of Nassau County Walkathon on Sunday, April 25th at Jones Beach. The two-mile walk complete with entertainment and activities will bring together families, Girl Scout Troops, community and local corporations to support the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Healthy Living Initiative.

Garden City, NY October 5, 2009 – This year’s 25th Annual Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) ‘Go for the Green’ golf outing on Monday, August 10th at North Hempstead County Club in Port Washington, NY was full of blue skies and scorching hot temperatures! Despite the heat and humidity, participants rose to the occasion and raised a substantial amount of money for the GSNC Financial Assistance Program which makes Girl Scouting available to any girl regardless of her ability to pay.

June 8, 2009 – For nine-year-old Kayla*, Girl Scouts camp offers the chance to swim and hike, build lasting friendships, develop new skills – and above all, laugh. And through Campership, a Girl Scouts of Nassau County program that provides financial assistance for its sleep-away and day camps, Kayla’s summer of fun and sun is now possible.
