Garden City, NY October 27, 2011 – The Girl Scouts of Nassau County will be hosting a “Birthday Bash on the Bay” to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting and Theodore Roosevelt’s 153rd birthday. The joint celebration will take place on Sunday, October 30th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site in Oyster Bay, NY, the home of Theodore Roosevelt. The celebration will feature the famous Girl Scouts of Nassau County Chorus, Ceremonial Unit and hundreds of Girl Scouts of all ages.
Attendees will participate in fun activities including Point-to-Point Walks, guided nature trail programs, Roosevelt House Tours, Sagamore Hill old time games, bee keeping demonstrations, wind turbine activities, bulb planting, vegetable print-making and more.
