MANHASSET RESIDENT ELECTED TO GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY BOARD

Garden City, NY June 1, 2011– Priscilla Wong a resident of Manhasset has furthered her dedication and commitment to supporting, empowering and mentoring future generations of women that she has shown year after year. Ms. Wong has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. as a Member-at-Large on May 25, 2011 at the 46th Annual Meeting held at St Francis’s DeMatteis Center. Ms. Wong joins other Board Members in their mission to provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Council.

“Priscilla will be a great addition to the Board of Directors,” said Donna Ceravolo, executive director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “With Priscilla now serving on the Girl Scout of Nassau County Board, we are confident that with the help of her strong leadership, we will be able to continue our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.”

Priscilla Wong has been elected to serve her second term as a Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Asian Task Force and is a co-leader for one of her daughter’s Girl Scout Troops. Ms. Wong was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for two years and also volunteered her time for threeyears as a Den Mother for Boy Scouts. Ms. Wong graduated from St. John’s University in the School of Pharmacy and has worked in many different areas as a pharmacist. She is a lifelong resident of Nassau County and was a Girl Scout as a young girl.
