GIRL SCOUTS OF NASSAU COUNTY INVITE ALUMNAE TO AFTERNOON DESSERT

Garden City, NY March 4, 2010 – In support of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s Operation Cookie program, which brings a taste of home via boxes of famous Girl Scout Cookies to our military troops overseas, Girl Scouts of Nassau County invites Girl Scouts from the past and present to a “Sunday Afternoon of Delightful Desserts.” On Sunday, March 14th, at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Garden City from 2pm to 5pm, come sample an array of desserts featuring Girl Scout Cookies created by local restaurateurs.

“We are excited to reconnect with our alumnae to celebrate Girl Scouts’ 98th birthday on March 12th, and to show support for our servicemen and women fighting far from home by raising funds for Operation Cookie,” said Donna Ceravolo, Executive Director of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County. “What better way to spend an afternoon than catching up with old friends over delicious desserts you can feel good about eating!”

Tickets to the event are $15.00 for registered Alumnae/Adults, $5.00 for current girl members of Girl Scouts and $25.00 for non-registered Alumnae or guests.
