What Daisies Do:

The First Step in a Lifetime Adventure. Girl Scout Daisies meet in groups of five to 10 with two or more adult leaders in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Daisies go on trips, learn about nature and science, explore the arts and communities, take part in Girl Scout Traditions and Daisy Ceremonies and sell Girl Scout Cookies. Girl Scout Daisies can earn Learning Petals and Leaves, as well as receive participation patches for your Daisy Smock.

As a Daisy, You Might…

Daisy Girl Scout Uniform:

Daisy Girl Scouts can wear the Girl Scout Daisy Membership Pin which is a special pin just for Daisies. They can also wear the blue Girl Scout Daisy tunic or the Daisy sash over a white shirt. On the front of the Daisy tunic or sash, Daisy Girl Scouts can display their Girl Scout pride by wearing their blue Daisy membership stars and their yellow Troop number. To show that they are an American Girl Scout, Daisies can wear the American flag patch as well as the Girl Scouts of the USA membership patch and Girl Scouts of Nassau County council patch. In addition, girls can place Learning Petals and participation patches on the front of Daisy tunics or Daisy vests.

How to Join

Any girl from K-12, from any neighborhood and any background can become a Girl Scout at any time during the year. The traditional and most well known Girl Scouting experience is through Girl Scout Troops. A girl may also join Girl Scouts as a Non-Troop Affiliated (NTA) Girl Scout. To register your daughter as a Girl Scout, please find your school district or the school district your daughter attends and contact your local field director. If you do not live in Nassau County, please use Council Finder to find a Girl Scout Council in your area.
