Ceremonial Unit

The image of the American flag flying overhead at a Girl Scout ceremony is very moving and is the perfect way to honor the Girl Scout Promise “to serve God and my Country.”

During the year, Members of the Ceremonial Unit participate in flag ceremonies and act as honor guards at Girl Scout events including the Gold Award Ceremony, Annual Luncheon and GSNC Annual Meeting; other opportunities include sporting venues (NY Mets and Long Island Ducks) and a variety of functions for community organizations. Members are required to attend trainings and wear a full uniform to all ceremonies.
