Why participate in the Girl Scout Fall Product Program?
The Girl Scouts Fall Product Program is in its third year and has grown into a wonderful opprotunity for Girls and Troops. Yes, this program raises money, but it is really about LEARNING, EARNING, EXPLORING and SHARING. While the main thrust of the Girl Scout Fall Product Program is on teamwork, individual girls can earn incentives.
The Girl Scout Fall Product Program provides funds directly to a Troop's treasury to finance their activities. The girls can use the money they earn to discover, travel, explore their world and have fun. In addition, many Troops use these funds to support those causes and efforts that the girls identify as important to them in their community.
Revenues from the Girl Scout Fall Product Program also go on to support the work of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. This revenue allows the Council to present new programs and activities for girls, a variety of training and support to our 7,000 volunteers.
The Girl Scout Fall Product Program gives your daughter ownership in the Girl Scout Movement. Participation teaches girls that it is better to earn one's way than to have things just given to them. Through this program girls learn how to
plan
set goals
make presentations
deal with the public
and keep good records
These are skills that will take them beyond their troop experience and are equally as valuable as those learned on the playing fields, the dance floor or other extracurricular activities. Through this program and in all of Girl Scouting, your daughter will learn the valuable lesson about self reliance and her own ability to make her dreams come true. She will build her courage, confidence and character and she will be better able to face challenges, make sound choices, and take a stand for what is right, throughout her life.
Again, thank you for allowing Girl Scouts to be part of your daughter's life. It is a privilege for us to have her as a part of the 96 year tradition of Girl Scout membership. I want to assure you the Girl Scouts continues to be the premier organization for girls.
Please call on me whenever I can help you with your daughter's Girl Scout adventure.
Peace,
