Girls will learn how to categorize and record what they find on the 2000 feet of shoreline at Garvies Point Museum and Preserve so that the Ocean Conservancy can determine what is polluting our water. Girls will view and analyze the results of last year’s coast cleanup efforts. Participants may decide to return in September for International Coastal Cleanup Day and make the world a better place.
Wear closed-toe shoes with traction that you do not mind getting wet. Plastic gloves will be provided.
Leaders Free. Additional adults and Tag-Alongs are not permitted in the classroom, but may tour the museum for a $4 admission fee. Brownie Potter Badge may be purchased at the GSNC Shop.
