Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Critical Issues - Training

Social Bullying Training for Leaders: Participants will leave with an understanding of this covert and emotionally destructive behavior which flies under the radar of most adults. Learn how to create an emotionally safe space for girls, how to lead some of the activities found within the Ophelia Project Shaping Healthy Relationships for Today's Girl Scouts, and how to process the experience with girls. Paricipants completing the training will receive a copy of the program for the level they lead.

The Affection Connection: In today's highly sexualized culture, girl's romantic behaviors are beginning earlier than ever. Some will experience their firt "crush" as early as age nine, others as late as age fifteen. Revving up her romantic engine is very much tied to her biology and tied very little to her parent's plan for her life. As girls, our job is to figure out who we are and are we loveable. Our friends in childhood help us to do that and to transition into adulthood and asdult relationships. Romance is a natural part of that transition. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how girls can increase their romantic intelligence and not be blinded by love. Click on the link below to register. For Girl Scout Juniors. Minimum group 20 girls, maximum group 30. Click on the link below to register.
