We're Imagining the Best Cookie Program Ever!

Girl Scout Cookies ® are as important to Girl Scouting as community service, trips and camping! But with Girl Scout Cookies ® you can earn enough to pay for all of those things and more! This year's cookie program contains lots of the familiar pieces, along with some great new ways to help you and your troop reach your goals.

NEW this year is the COOKIE CLUB - an online goal setting program, designed to help girls of every age level to set their cookie goal. Leaders must first register the troop for the program, and each girl will receive a unique password. By using this program, you can track your progress as you work toward your goal, and the troop leader can view the entire troop's efforts as you move forward.

Cookie Booth sales, always a big part of any troop's cookie plan, will have an additional twist this year. Is your troop's Cookie Booth the best it can be? Our Mystery Shoppers will be stopping at Girl Scout Cookie ® Booths around Nassau County to verify that you've got all the elements in place for a great booth sale. Troops who score high on their booth sale savvy will be entered into a drawing for a $100 GSNC gift card.

Gift of Caring program is a wonderful way to help those in our own community who may not be able to purchase their own Girl Scout Cookies ®.  Simply ask your customers if they would like to purchase an extra box (or boxes) of cookies to be donated to a local charity.  Your troop can decide where they want the donated cookies to go - to a food pantry, a soup kitchen, a senior center, etc. - it's your choice.  It's a great way to use those boxes left over from a booth sale.  Customers donations are tax-deductible, so you may give them a receipt for tax purposes.

Operation Cookie is our council-sponsored program for donation of Girl Scout Cookies ® to be shipped to our military personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan, and military hospitals overseas and here at home.  Like the Gift of Caring program, girls ask customers to make a donation.  Customers can give any amount, (again, it's tax-deductible, so give them a receipt).  Cookies for Operation Cookie are not actually handled by the troop.  Simply collect the donations and deposit the money into the cookie account.  Your troop will receive the troop rebate for the cookies sold, and the girl who made the sale will receive credit towards her personal goal.  Best of all, our military men and women will receive the cookies that everyone loves.
