Girl Scouts of Nassau County offers a traditional style day camp with activities planned for a special theme. A typical day starts with a morning-circle and flag ceremony, followed by the girls breaking into age appropriate groups.

Girls may register for as many weeks as they choose.

Camp day starts with a morning-circle and flag ceremony, followed by the girls breaking into age appropriate groups. The rest of the morning, campers participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities planned with a special weekly theme as well as traditional camp activities. These may include songs, games, nature, cooking and arts & crafts.
After lunch, weather-permitting, it’s pool time! Nassau County certified lifeguards supervise all swimming.
Each week, a special guest visits camp where girls experience a unique activity. Past guests have included, “Reptiles on the Move,” a yoga instructor and a magician.
Summer Fun Day Camps under the direction of an on-site Camp Director and has a ratio of eight girls to one adult. Our staff is carefully chosen for their talents and ability to work with children. All staff members are committed to the Girl Scout values of honesty, respect and responsibility.
Rainy Days - Don’t worry; rainy days are just as fun. In the event of rain, the camp director will decide in the morning whether to use a nearby rainy day site. Campers will enjoy special themed activities and events planned for use at the rainy day site. Some possible themes may include “Science Magic,” “Fitness & Fun,” or “It's All About Me.”
Sibling Discount - Receive a $10 per session discount for each additional daughter attending camp.
Bring a Friend Rebate - Returning Campers can register a friend for Girl Scout camp who has never attended before and receive a $25 rebate check. Rebate checks will be issued at the end of the summer.
Lottery - All registrations received prior to Feb 11, 2013 are eligible for placement by lottery. After Feb 11, 2013 applications will be processed in the order received. Plan to register early as some sessions fill very quickly

Please Note: Each week girls participate in all camp activities i.e. swimming, games, crafts in addition to the themed activities for the week.
Multi-Week Discount Girl Scout+ Non-Girl Scout
1 week $350 per wk $380 per wk
2 weeks $320 per wk $350 per wk
3 weeks $305 per wk $335 per wk
4 weeks $290 per wk $320 per wk
+To qualify, a girl must be a registered Girl Scout by Feb. 11, 2013.
*Must register for all weeks at the same time to utilize the multi-week discount
Girl Scouts of Nassau County reserves the right to change or cancel programs based on the number of registrations received. If the camp or session choice you select is not available, you will be contacted. If alternate camp or session is not acceptable, your payment will be refunded. There will be a $25 fee for any check returned to us by the bank.
Payments - The fee balance is due at the Girl Scout Service Center no later than May 1, 2013. Unpaid balances will result in cancellation of your camp registration. Registrations received after May 1, 2013 must be accompanied by full payment. “Cookie Credits” can be used to pay for all or a portion of the fee by enclosing your signed “Cookie Credit” Redemption Form along with a check for the balance.
How to Register: ONE GIRL PER FORM
Send a non-refundable deposit of $50 per session. Make checks payable to: Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. For credit cards, fill in all credit card information on the application. An $18 registration is included in the Non-Girl Scout fee. To ensure that your daughter and her friends attend camp together, please send applications in the same envelope. You will receive written registration confirmation, a balance due statement and more camp information.
It's looks like rain and you are wondering if you should bring your daughter to the Rainy Day Site, look on the home of www.gsnc.org or the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Facebook page for your answer. On days the campers will be at the rainy day site, you will see the rainy day graphics posted. There you will find out what location you should bring your camper to each day.
