It's Spring Registration Time at GSNC!


Here are some of the top reasons for staying connected with Girl Scouts!

1. Registered Girl Scouts receive priority placement in GSNC programs.
2. Summer is a great time for girls to work on their leadership awards.

Troop proceeds from the Cookie Program can be used to pay for girls’ registration fees.

Operation Cookie Send-off!

 
Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) Operation Cookie Sendoff #2

Operation Cookie Send-off at the 1st Marine Corps District!


Last week, those Girl Scouts who sold at least 100 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies for Operation Cookie celebrated at the Marine Base on Stewart Avenue in Garden City with a special send-off of Cookies going to local New York National Guard and Military Reserve units (those who helped during Super Storm Sandy). This year, GSNC had over 50,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies donated to Operation Cookie. Approximately, 40,000 boxes were distributed to troops overseas and 10,000 boxes were shipped to local troops and National Guard who provided aid and relief during Hurricane Sandy.

My Voice Counts at Girl Scouts!

 

Here’s a chance for your voice/your daughter’s voice to be heard! Participate in a GSUSA study of Girl Scouting and get a chance to win up to $50 in Visa Gift Cards.


When a girl registers for Girl Scout Voices by June 9, she will receive a “Girl Scout Voices” patch. She will also be entered to win one of 60 $25 Visa Gift Cards. Then, mid-June, she will be emailed a link to an online survey about her Girl Scout experience. When she completes the survey she will earn an “I Was Heard” patch and be entered to win another one of the 60 Visa Gift Cards.


Please note that girls 12 and under must have parental permission to register.

Girl Scouts of Nassau County is seeking Volunteers to help deliver our summer Girl Scout Series programs. The series programs involve working directly with girls in grades K-6 to deliver a pre-planned program focusing on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, healthy living initiatives, teamwork and self-esteem building activities.

Attention Voting Members of Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc.

 

The Girl Scouts of Nassau County’s 48th Annual Meeting is being held at North Shore University Hospital’s Rust Auditorium in Manhasset, NY.

If you lost any Girl Scout items, Operation: Be a Sister, sponsored by Troop 239 in Lanesville Indiana, will replace items and ship them to you free of charge. This program is ending on May 31! So hurry!

Last year, we celebrated the 65th anniversary of Camp Blue Bay! As a way to commemorate some of the most cherished camp memories our campers and staff have, we started the Camp Blue Bay 65th Anniversary Brick Campaign. This campaign allows you to “cement” your Girl Scout experience by buying an engraved brick to decorate the area around the Camp Blue Bay flagpole.
