Three Dimensional Trefoil
Cut out 3 identical trefoils. Print these trefoils (outline, color) or make your own with construction paper. Four inches or wider is easiest for handling.
Fold two of the trefoils in half from top to bottom, creating a crease.
Take the two trefoils and using the crease as a guide, glue half of one trefoil to half of the other.
Glue or tape a piece of ribbon, yarn, or string in the center of the third unfolded trefoil, allowing it to extend several inches beyond the top. This will be for hanging the finished product.
Place the third trefoil, ribbon side up on the table. Apply glue to the entire surface and place the two joined trefoils on top of it so that the ribbon (yarn, string) is inside and only exposed at the top. Allow glue to dry thoroughly, and if desired, make a loop for hanging.
Note: Trefoils can be decorated with names, troop numbers, stickers, etc. before or after they are assembled. Hang the trefoils at your troop meeting, special event, or ceremony.
