Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Community Service has long been a major focus of Girl Scouts. To help you to find ways to make the world a better place, we have designed the Community Service page.
"Operation: Cookie" continues to deliver Girl Scout cookies to our military personnel in Afghanistan . Once again, DHL provides the personnel and equipment to ensure that our cargo of Girl Scout Cookies arrive safely and quickly. Thanks to all who have supported this program in the past, and remember that there is still time to donate.
Girl Scouts Forever Green
Girl Scouts Forever Green (GSFG), our 100th Anniversary Take Action Project, is a global effort to improve the environment and protect natural resources. We invite you to lead your family, school, and community in a month-long Take Action project. Our Council has chosen to "Save Energy" during the month of April. In addition, take the Online Pledge today to make a yearlong commitment to environmental efforts.
Start your energy-saving efforts on March 31st by turning off the lights during Earth Hour, then continue to reduce your carbon footprint, save money, and save energy by replacing incandescent bulbs with energy-efficient lightbulbs.
Girls who participate in this effort are eligible for the Girl Scouts Forever Green Participation Patch.
