What is the Mags&Munchies Program?

The 2011 Mags&Munchies Program is a fun, quick, and easy way for Girl Scout Troops to earn money at the beginning of the year. The sale includes magazines, nuts, and candy that make great gifts for the holiday season. This Council-sponsored money-earning opportunity enables family and friends to support Girl Scout Troops and Girl Scouting in the community. Mags&Munchies is not a door-to-door sale.

How does the Troop benefit?

All Troops earn 10% in proceeds on each nut/candy item

and magazine sold, and girls can earn patches and

incentive prizes.

How does my Troop get started?

When you register your Troop in the spring, make sure to register a Mags&Munchies Troop Manager (TM).  Your TM will be contacted by your Association Mags&Munchies Chair in August/September for a training meeting.  At this meeting all of the sales materials and order forms will be handed out and any questions will be answered.  If you do not have a TM, a parent or one of the Troop Leaders can attend the meeting.

Earn even more, hold a Booth Sale

If your Troop has big goals, then consider doing a booth sale to earn 15% back. Street Fairs, sports events and even yard sales make great locations for Booth sales. However, we will not accept returns of any items (nuts or chocolate) for this year.

How do friends & family order?

In Sept/Oct Troops/girls are given order forms. A fast and easy way for friends and family to order magazines online is with the QSP Online Program. They can even use a credit card for payment! Remember to tell everyone you know to save their magazine renewals; the price is virtually the same and your daughter’s Troop will benefit. Candy/nut items must be placed directly with a girl and payment must be made at the time the order is placed.

When is the Mags&Munchies Program?

  •       Begins: Friday, October 1st
  •       Ends: Monday, November 1st
  •       Deliveries: by December 15th
